                 ACESO
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Aceso (Aκεσώ) was the Greek Goddess of the healing process. Contrary to her sister Panacea (cure-all), Aceso represented the process of healing, rather than cure itself. After a patient was assessed medically, Aceso personified the body's and psyche’s complex healing process. To the Ancient Greeks, the healing process was a divine and mystical system. In today’s therapeutic approach, this is less so. We use evidence-based treatments and our scientific knowledge of the process of trauma, emotional patterns, and personal histories to understand and assist in the healing journey of each individual.
